Welcome to

Snark's Poetry Pages!

Welcome! My name is Marc Pollitt, and my online/e-mail identity usually shows up either as "Snark" or as something with "Snark" in it. I am in my mid-40's, married (since 1981) to Karen Pollitt, and have no children. Professionally, I am a public high school English teacher, currently employed by the San Bernardino City Unified School District at San Gorgonio High School.

As we all know, there's really no good reason for anyone to have a personal web site. After all, the only people who ever visit pages like this are the friends and family members of the site's creator, and for the most part, nothing in sites like this is truly new or informative to them!

However, since I have damned few friends, and since I'm seldom on speaking terms with most of my family, I've put this together for the entertainment of the vast multitude of chronically bored Internet surfers who like poetry. In other words, I expect fewer than three or four hits per year.

At present, I don't have a scanner, so there will be precious few images here until that situation is rectified. I do, however, have a substantial body of relatively readable poetry, much of which I have posted here for your perusal.

Please note that ALL of the poetry posted to this site is original work written by me, and all of it is protected under U. S. and international copyright laws. No permission is granted or implied for any group or individual to reproduce, republish, or redistribute any of these poems in any form or medium without the prior written permission of the author. However, permission is granted to any individual to download and print out one copy of any or all of these poems for their personal enjoyment.
